As solid tackle busting redfish action continues to dominate the fishing scene here in the “Speckled trout Capital of the world” as we dodged the rains of tropical storm FAY. Speckled trout remains scattered through out the system with the best trout action being at the big jetties when the water remains clean. September and October are excellence months on Lake Calcasieu for lots of fish.

In just a little over 2 weeks early teal season open and we are already seeing flights of teal in our marshes. Last years teal harvest was the best in our history and we expect one just as good for 2008. Early blast and cast trips are among our most requested trips and we will surly be full soon. Don’t get shut out by calling and checking availability now.
