TROPICAL STORM EDOUARD
PRETTY MUCH MISSED US. Whew ! ! ! The storm came through our area around
4;00A.M. with strong winds (50 ton 60 mph) and some rain. The weather continued
until mid morning but has now moved out of our area. It was good practice for us
as we put our evacuation plan into play and it worked
well.
BREAKING
NEWS: Big duck
season dates will be set by the Louisiana Wildlife & Fisheries Commission on
Thursday of this week. I will send out a broadcast email to announce the dates
so STAY TUNED
FISHING: Still continues to be good with
limits on redfish and scattered trout over the oyster reefs. We still have some
space available in August for a fishing trip for you and your friends so call us
toll free at 1.888.762.3391 and ask Danita to check availability for
you
TEAL HUNTING: - Dates have been set and
they are September 16th thru September 28th and the season
looks good. Timely rains have greened up our marsh and it is in excellent
condition. Last years Teal harvest was a record one for us and all signs are
looking very positive for our 2008 season. Call us toll free at 1.888.762.3391
if your interest is a GREAT BLAST AND CAST in the middle of
September.
THE NIGHT STALKER – Fishermen are enjoying
the cool summer time nights catching limits of speckled trout aboard the NIGHT
STALKER (our night fishing boat) every night. This is our most popular trim of 6
people so call and make you reservation now and don’t get shut out. October
31st will be our last day to run the boat for
2008.

My Thought - - This little quote by
Grantland Rice hung in my fathers office for over 40 years and I seem to think
about it from time to time. Wouldn’t it be nice if we all live this
way?
For when the One Great Scorer
comes To write
against your name, He marks-not that
you won or lost- But how you played
the game.
Have a great week and remember “Ya
shoulda been here yesterday”
