Known as “P MOMMA” she is the wife of co-owner Guy Stansel. Her infectious smile and unbelievable sense of humor is the backbone of the entire office staff. There is just no way to be in a bad mood around Pauline. She handles most of the bookings for both fishing and hunting here at the lodge. |

Known as “Pooh Buddy”. He has his own private beach located in a very remote part of big lake. Buddy has been fishing Lake Calcasieu for over 25 years. He spends most of his time CONFINED TO THE OFFICE but manages to get out on the water pretty regular. If you see him WORKING out on the water it's because we are in a real bind! |

Tila Stansel |
Tila is the wife of co-owner Bobby Stansel and has recently taken over the management of the food and house-keeping departments. Besides her full time job as nurse at the school she is an organizer and delights in cooking up treats for everyone. She is a great cook and is looking forward to sharing her skills with all of the lodge guests. |

Marsha is the wife of the very compassionate, caring, loving, handsome and witty, Captain “Pooh” Buddy. Her many years in the retail business qualifies her to manage the dock Shop our retail store and only mall in Hackberry. If you want something special for your outing here at the lodge just let her know. |

For many years Sharon has headed up the house-keeping department making sure that each room is clean, tidy and ready for the next guest to move in. Taking care of 12 rooms and 52 beds each is a real job but Sharon is up for the task. She hopes we don’t hire a Robot any time soon because she loves it here at Hackberry Rod & Gun. |

Natasha was born and raised in Hackberry had been with us since high school. She is now a junior at McNeese State University majoring in Bio Chemistry and has her sights set on being a doctor. Natasha always has a great attitude and can do anything she sets her sights on. She has a young son named Drake who is the love of her life. She is a fun girl that in her spare time likes to fish, hunt, shop and eat. These days you can find her working in the office and every chance she gets she loves to deck hand on the NIGHT STALKER. After she learned how to tie a hook on there was no stopping her. |

Amy is the new kid on the block and we are very excited to have her in the Kitchen. She is a GREAT cook and if you are here at the right time you might be luck enough to have a piece of her, made from scratch, COCONUT CREAM PIE. Yum Yum! |

Native of Galveston Texas she came to Hackberry in 1982 to raise her family. She is a permanent fixture in the kitchen whipping up goodies for our guests. Her full time career is teaching youngsters at Hackberry High School how to butcher animals and make sausage. |

Patricia was originally from Orange, Texas and began coming to Hackberry with her parents to their summer camp here. She eventually settled here. She said working here at the lodge is hard but very fulfilling and fun. |

Hillary graduated from Hackberry High school at the top of her class. She is pursuing a degree at McNeese State University to become a school teacher. During her afternoons and weekends off you can find her here at the lodge banging away on her laptop or the license computer helping everyone who walks through the door. |

Lanette is the wife of co-owner Kirk Stansel and has recently agreed to come out of retirement to be part of the office staff. She is coming back to a job that she did some years ago here at the lodge. She said it’s a lot bigger now and more challenging but excited to be part of it again. |

Kayleigh is the daughter of Guy and Pauline. She has a passion for the food business and is learning a lot of the basics right here at the lodge in the kitchen. Her outgoing personality and infectious smile will win you over right away. |

Allyson Sanner |
Allyson is a senior at Hackberry High School and is one of the star players on the girl’s basketball team. She always has a smile on her face and has a great sense of humor. She works after school in our kitchen. She has dreams of starting her own guide business on big lake some day. |

Danita Mitchell |
The newest member of our office staff, Danita brings experience and a great attitude to our staff. She rolled up her sleeves and has now taken over our booking department. Danita is a life long resident of Hackberry and she and her husband Jerry enjoy taking their 5th wheel trailer up to Toledo Bend Lake and spending time with family. |

Torri Stansel |
Torri will be a 10th grader at Hackberry High School next September. The oldest daughter of Bobby Joe and Tila Stansel, Torri has literally been raised here at the lodge. Torri helps out in the kitchen serving when needed but her real talent is helping Marsha when she is decorating the Dock Shop. Torri’s ideas are really beneficial when arranging the shop. She is very active at school while participating in Basketball, track and baseball. If she grows to her shoes she will be a starter for the Texas A & M girls basketball team in a few years. Her hobbies are fishing, sports, duck hunting and hopes one day to be a guide here at the lodge like her dad. |

Karen Orgeron |
Karen is our expert breakfast cook and arrives early- early- early every day to cook breakfast for 30 to 40 hungry men and women every day 7 days a week. Raised in Hackberry she and her husband have 3 children that they are very proud of. Karen makes a mean breakfast taco with all the trimmings so come over soon and try one. |

Kelsey Helmer |
Kelsey is a junior at Hackberry High School and helps in the office as well as the kitchen. She is a member of the Girls basketball team but her real passion is breeding, raising and showing market goats and is very active in the FFA state wide. Her many medals, ribbons and accomplishments proves she is one of the outstanding young women in her field. |
