Good catches of nice trout were showing up the first part of the week prior to our countries 4th of July birthday. Solid trout were caught along the channel around the pilot station and mile marker “0”- Early anglers getting to the Cameron Jetties before the wind comes up were catching good solid Redfish on mullet and live shrimp. We lost a friend this past week in a boating accident. Had he had his PFD (life jacket) on the result might have been different. Life Jackets save lives. Prayers

1 can chicken broth plus additional water to make 2 cups
Instructions
Chop onion and bell pepper, saute in butter, add tomatoes and saute about 3 minutes (set aside). Dice sausage in small cubes and boil for 5 minutes. Discard water. Add all ingredients in a 2 quart casserole covered dish, bake at 350F for 30 or 35 minutes Remove cover and bake 5 minutes.
