MY MAMAS CRAB SOUP

We are always looking for fall recipes to share with you – Here is one of my favorites: You can also make it with shrimp. Yum Yum

Ingredients

  • 8 – cups of water
  • 8 – slices bacon
  • 1 – pound carrots diced
  • 6 – stalks celery diced
  • 2 – med onions
  • 1 ½ – cabbage chopped
  • 1 ½ potatoes diced
  • 1 – 10oz. can lima beans
  • ½ – cup barley
  • 1 – 28oz. can tomato puree
  • 1 – package peas and corn
  • 1 – tonys seasoning
  • 2 pounds of crab or peeled cooked shrimp

Instructions

Combine water, bacon in a large butch oven. Bring to a boil, cook 20 minutes. Add carrots and next 8 ingredients, return to boil and cook 30 minutes. Add peas, corn and season and return to boil – add crab or shrimp cook to heated.
